Our book for this term is the traditional tale, Little Red Riding Hood

 In our English lessons we will be:

• Reading the story, making predictions about what will happen next. To make inferences about the characters and what is being said. To know what has happened in the story so far.

• Grammar – we will be learning how to use expanded noun phrases, adverbs and conjunctions (and, but, or).

• To use subordination (using when, if, that or because.)

• Using apostrophes for contractions and possessive.

• Writing a setting description using expanded noun phrases and adverbs

• Retelling the story as a letter.
• Using a story board to create our own version of the story.

• Spellings will be given out on Friday to be learnt for the following Friday.
