The Mayor of Walsall and Mental Health Abassadors
We are beyond proud that Alicia Harris, Year 4 and Carter Cozier, Year 6 have been chosen by the Mayor of Walsall to be Mental Health Ambassadors.
This is an incredible achievement as the Mayor has chosen just 13 pupils across the whole of Walsall Primary Schools. Please note, Carter is the ONLY boy representing Walsall primary schools!
Alicia and Carter met with the Mayor and Lady Mayor of Walsall in January 2019 (and the other Ambassadors) to find out about the Mayor's project. The Mayor's project aims to raise awareness of mental health issues affecting Walsall children and young people and raise funds for WPH Counselling.
Alicia and Carter both spoke clearly and maturely about mental health issues. They both pledged to support the Mayor and Lady Mayor with their Project and shared ideas with the other Ambassadors.
Upon returning to Little Bloxwich Primary School, Alicia and Carter were awarded in Gold Book Assembly for their contribution to the first meeting. In fact, a teacher from another school complimented them both and said we should all be proud about how well they represented themselves and our school. We are!
Carter bravely spoke about his experience and the Mayor's project to his class mates and Alicia has worked hard to arrange an Easter Extravaganza to raise funds for WPH Counselling. Please go along and show your support to Alicia.
Well done Alicia and Carter!!
